Buddha Fired Me

The New Star English Center had this extra room that they were going to let me stay in since they were going to hire me, here in Vietnam, but Buddha is still living in that room.

I kept on asking the school & they would never tell me why. All they had to say was, "Oh, sorry man, that's Buddha's room." Because they have this shrine for Buddha in this room with statues and fancy things like that. I just wanted to sleep on the floor in that room. I won't hurt Buddha, I promise.

  Marilyn Mitchell I am glad you did not sleep near a Buddha. They never intended for you to stay there. It was a deceitful statement.

  Joey Arnold If I was Budha, they would have let me stay. That's called discrimination because I was not Budha. See, because I was not Budha, I was not allowed in the Buddha-Only room. It would have been much better had they told me that their religion was more important than teaching people English. I would have understood. They should have told me that before I hopped on a plane.
  
  Had this happened in the United States, this New Star school would have been sued and thrown in prison. I might be exaggerating, but they did trick me into coming. I really hope people do not support business like these.
