Blacks who speak out against Obama are ostracized. Because Obama does not consider himself to be one of the black community; he is above the black community; he is king. Black pastor Rev. Kevin Johnson of Bright Hope Baptist Church in North Philadelphia, PA was supposed to speak at the graduation ceremony of his alma mater, Morehouse College. But when Johnson wrote an editorial criticizing Obama for failing the African American community, Morehouse College immediately disinvited him.
Obama must be very sensitive and he must not believe in the 1st Amendment. Johnson is just one of many brave and brilliant black leaders to speak out against Obama’s policies (think Herman Cain, Dr. Ben Carson or Harry Alford) only to be thrown under the bus by Obama or his buddies.
Johnson is right to question what Obama has done to help the African American community. Johnson rails into Obama’s record in The Philadelphia Tribune:
“96 percent [of blacks] voted for President Obama in 2008 and 93 percent in 2012 …if we objectively look at Obama’s presidency, African-Americans are in a worse position than they were before he became president. At the end of January 2009, unemployment for African-Americans was 12.7 percent. Four years later, the situation is worse, and unemployment is higher at 13.8 percent. …Why are we so loyal to a president who is not loyal to us?
He added: “…when one compares the first African-American president to his recent predecessors, the number of African-Americans in senior cabinet positions is very disappointing: Clinton (7); Bush (4); and Obama (1). Obama has not moved African-American leadership forward, but backwards.”
And the one African American Obama appointed to a senior cabinet role (Attorney General Eric Holder) is actually working against the African American community. Holder recently told Congress he wants to help “young black men” improve their lives with gun control legislation.
But when Obama gets on his high horse and calls gun-owners “liars,” and pushes for bills to ban and restrict guns, he is merely helping criminals get guns and rendering innocent Americans defenseless. Black journalists like Niger Innis have pointed out that Obama’s gun control madness actually disproportionately HURTS the blacks who live in high-crime cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and New York.
Apparently, liberals only believe in free speech if you are kissing their hinders and nodding in agreement to every word they say. If you are angered by the way liberals at Morehouse College are treating Rev. Johnson, you can call Morehouse College President John Silvanus Wilson, Jr. at (404) 681-2800.
