More on Tiem Long

Today, it seems that Tiem Long is mad at me. He started practising English with me last Thursday, 2013 November 7. That is when I met him in person. I asked if I could invite others to practice English with us. He said that is fine. He said he would pay me money each month. In other words, that he would pay me in December 2013, or maybe never. He promised 500.000 VND per month. Now, it seems that he may never pay.

As a teacher, that does not help me since I have no reliable and stable flow of income at the moment. Many times, when I meet people who want to practice English, they leave me. Students commonly drop out, leaving me on the dirt with no money, food, or shelter. I may starve to death.

We've met a few times since. Yesterday, at SOLO coffee - Cơm trưa văn phòng, others joined. In the past, he told me that he doesn't mind company. Yet, he left. He did not ask me to teach him. Today, he wrote to me and said that I didn't teach him anything.

But it is not my fault.

If he has a problem with the other people, then that is his fault because he told me that I could include more Vietnamese citizens in our English Practising Classes.

In the past, he would ask me what words mean. He would read things to me. I would correct his pronunciation. That is what he asked me to do. I would do what he wanted me to do. I was not there to be some kind of strict traditional teacher who just tells students what to do. I am not that kind of tradition.

I have encountered problems all of my life. It is kind of sad, but I understand that humans tend to exaggerate. We tend to throw temper-tantrums for the sake of drama, illumination, for when we don't get our way in life.

We tend to loose patience.

We tend to not see things for what they really are.

As a teacher, it is tough to live when my income, my salary, depends on the unpredictability of human nature.

He wrote to me on Facebook today saying that I did not teach him anything and that he does not need me any more. Nguyễn Hung Nguyen use to say these things to me as well.

Wives and husbands and children and lovers and best friends say these exact words as well.

I am always teaching people.

I am always trying to teach him.

I sat there talking to Vietnamese people, yesterday. I kept on looking back at him. I was trying to read and attest what he was thinking and what he wanted. However, if there were problems, it is his obligation and duty, as a student, to stand up and say something.

Some people may have never been taught how to stand up, to speak out, but it is a crucial fundamental skill to have in life.

Today, I am filled with tears.

I may have lost a student.

He may have lied to me about some of the details.

I kind of need money.

There are many things I want to do in life.

I made some videos with Love An yesterday.

I want to do more of that.

But it is so hard without money.

I try my best to help people.

I have been dedicating my life to serving others for the past 20 years since I was 8 years old in 1993.

I cannot make everybody happy but I really wish I could. This really hurts when students make these kinds of irrational statements, premature judgement, disillusioned assumptions, that are through bias, stereotypes, racism, sexist, religious, political, tyranny, of fear, of misunderstandings, misaligned cognition, apprehension, and such.

I am still living in the Tan Phu District. I may move to District 1 to help friends start an English Center. I want to live in District 1. We are looking for an extra Christian room-mate to join us. Talk to me if you are interested.

Lê Dương Nguyễn Hữu Minh Thúy 's right I saw a lot of foregners driving motobike withought helmet in HaNoi .Traffic polices didn't punish them because they don't know English I think foreigners still can drive freely without fear of punishment despite laws banning .Don't worry about that :))
