Going Home, Not Gonna Home

I was too late to do the mid-term test today. when I went there, everybody was gonna go home. I thought I would absolutely study this subject again in the next semester. Falling straight to the hell, Mr. Chau pulled me up and let me sign my study result... I'm still shocked now, how dare I do that ???   Original Oatmeal "Everybody was going home." Not that "Everybody was gonna home" because "Gonna" is slang and short for a future-tense of "Going" to describe that they are going to go home later in the future, as in someday, as in not right right in present-tense or past-tense even. You can write that you are gonna go, as in that you will go home. But not gonna in past tense.
