I
am at the Saigon Backpacker's Hostel this week, which is at 203 Pham
Ngu Lao Street, District 1, HCM, VN. I will be at the Mam Non Mai Anh
kindergarten school tomorrow at 9:30am - 10:30am, which is at 27 Đường
Số 9, phường Bình Thọ, Ho Chi Minh City, Thủ Đức. 2pm - 3pm I will be at
Mam Non Tuoi Hong at 8/8 Dong Ho Street, Ward 8, Tan Binh District. 7pm
- 9pm, I will be learning Vietnamese at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities at 10-12 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, District 1.
Today, I walked around District 1 talking to people. Many exported products are overpriced: things like laptops, phones, cars, bikes. The prices are so high. How will the poor people buy these things? Sadly, the poor people will still try to buy these things. That is called manipulated poverty. I will continue to look around for an apartment that is around 3.000.000 VND per month, and for a new phone, laptop, mountain bike, guitar, camcorder, piano, free daily water, free daily basketball courts, and other cool things. I live in District 1 of Saigon, Vietnam. On Monday, the 7th of April of 2013, I moved to the Saigon Backpackers Hostel at 203 Phạm Ngũ Lão, phường Phạm Ngũ Lão, Quận 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
It is $6 USD per night. That is around $126.000 VND per night. I am in a room with 3 bunk beds. I have a bottom bunk. People come and go. this means I can meet foreigners, as in international travelers daily or weekly because some stay for a few hours to a few days. There is no TV. Laundry cost around $240.000 VND per 8 kg of clothes, or something like that. They hold onto my passport until I check out. I pay money when I leave. There is wifi. You can pay $1 for breakfast here each day if you want. Joey Arnold
I am still looking for Room For Rent. I will not give up. I bought a Samsung phone yesterday for $250.000 VND, which is around $12.50 USD. I also bought a $1 USD adapter for it, so I can plug the phone cord into the adapter and plug the adapter into my American power strip. I thought about spending $500 USD for the best phone out there and then pay $2 USD per month to have unlimited internet (apart from limited downloads) on the Super Phone.
My SIM Card in my phone says Viettel.

My
girl friend stole $3,000,000 from me. That is three million. She gets
mad at me for not spending money on her, but I kind of did spend a bunch
of money and time on her. Plus, some of my most valuable things in my
life may have been stolen at the Papa Foods in Bac Ninh, Vietnam. There
are things that mean everything to me back there but that suitcase is
missing. Joey Arnold
