I want to set up a english club in HCM beween VN and Foreigners, anyone help me?
The cheaper the club the
better. The more interactive, the better. Some clubs are located where
the beverages are priced higher than normal. I regard each district as a
separate city because, demographically, each district is a little
different. Some districts have more college students who are interesting
in enhancing their English skills.
Are there ever English Clubs at parks? Apart from the parking and food, clubs at parks could be free.
Some clubs cost 5,000 VND + a purchase of a drink or 15,000 VND (if you don't buy a drink) per night.
Some of those prices are fair when compared to how much you might pay to learn English at an English Center, which could be around 400,000 VND per hour at times.
They sometimes make native English speakers like me pay money to go to some of the English Clubs in Saigon. They should pay us money.
English Clubs needs a good dose and balance of variety between interactive games, activities, that utilizes games, sings, videos, pictures, quizes, conversations over tea, and other elements.
Some districts have more English opportunities than others, and some districts have less interesting in improving their English. We should draw a demographic map that can show the locations of English opportunities that are represented in dots on the map mixed with colors that can show how many people are interested in each district.

Chi Nguyen, I peddle my
bicycle to many districts. I live in district Binh Thanh. Wednesday, I
peddled from district 1 to 12. I sometimes peddle to districts 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Tan Phu, Binh Tan, Go Vap, Thu Duc, Phu Nhuan,
Tan Binh. I do not like motor-bikes.
In English, we call it the
"Gas Prices" because it includes Petroleum but isn't limited by it. I do
not like the smoke. I barely have enough money for food and rent each
month, let alone to add smelly pollution to that, especially since I'm
actually not working this month which means less money, which means that
I should be careful.

Actually,
I think that young people in VN should use cycle to travel internal
city because of its pollution. Thanks so much to guide me "gas prices"
and Petrol price! many English schools in HCM and you can find it easily
to spend your daily living! goodluck ^^

not qualified to be an English Teacher because I'm lacking required
diplomas, certificates, degrees, qualifications, such as a Bachelor of
Arts (BA) in Education, or teaching certificates like those of TEFL,
TESOL, and other such qualifications.
I do have experience. I have been teaching English for the past 9 months. I have been a life teacher for the past 10 years.
Schools will not hire me because I do not have the specific qualifications that they desire, never mind the fact that I am a native-speaker. I should be given an "Honorary Degree or Exception."

Arnold, the stupid Vietnamese bureaucratic requirement is set that way.
But there are a lot of diploma mills selling a degree, that if you are a
Vietnamese you can buy one. Many Vietnamese hold bought diplomas or
even forged diplomas/certificates.

I have met some Bachelors/Masters of English. To my disappointment most of them speak awkwardly like robots! kind of worse than children' speech.

truth. You can forge certificates. Some people may do this. I have never
met people who have fake degrees for teaching English, but that does
not mean it never happens. I do not advocate or approve of people who
want to cheat like that. I am tempted with doing this, but I should not
give in. I should earn my qualifications like others.
