That said, my mother told me this proverb. There is an equivalent in English but I like my mother's Spanish version better :

In this video, I talk about how I misheard the word frog. I thought my mother was talking about frogs landing on mountains and hills near our house, our ghetto trailer, space number 163, in the Rose Grove Mobile Trailer & Manufacture Homes Park Community Ghetto in the city Forest Grove, of the U.S.A. state of Oregon which is below Canada, and the state Washington, and below Mexico, and below the state California, and bordering the state Idaho and near Nevada and Texas, and bordering the Pacific Ocean. Forest Grove is a small city an hour or more from the ocean and the big city Portland, as in PDX.

Me, my mother, Marilyn Kathleen Morehead Arnold Rasp Hunter Cunningham Mitchell, and my older sister, Katie Jean Mars Arnold, were walking on the side of the Pacific Avenue street (not highway) in Forest Grove, near our hood, walking towards Bi-Mart, McDonalds, Safeway, downtown Forest Grove.

My mother was telling my sister about the giant frogs that would land on the mountains and hills around us like annually, as in yearly. That is what I thought they were talking about. I was about 5 years old or so. I would like to figure out exactly how old I was but it happened before I was 10 years old for sure. I was partly deaf when I was younger. I had hearing tubes until I was about 10 years old. Siblings calling me an alien when I was about 4 years old. Doctors never thought I would pass the sixth grade when I was younger. Christ and my mother never gave up on me. I started catching up in life. I never gave up either.

I was born not crying. Since I was 8 years old, I wanted to be the next Michael Jackson and the next Michael Jordan and the next Mother Teresa. I wanted to help others and save them from the Fog Frogs.

My mother was not talking about giant monster frogs that land on mountains. My mother was talking about fog, which are clouds that rest on mountains at times. She was telling my sister about fog, not about frogs. Not to be confused with Kermit the Frog.
