Dear Brent Groth, want to learn how to have more than just ONE Operating System (OS) on your computer, on each individual hard drives, thumb drives, at the same time? I can teach you how. People can teach you. You can watch videos. Ask Google. Ask people. Call people. Email people.
The hard drives in computers usually have only one main partition in it. In a way, a partition is like a TV channel. Say, a TV can only have as many channels as there are numbers. On older TVs, it only went up to channel 72 or channel 130 or so. That means you can only have as many choices on your TV as their are numbers and channels.
Partitions are like channels.
Partitions are like the numbers.
One number means only one channel on your TV.
Two numbers means two channels on your TV.
Three numbers mean three channels and more choices on your TV.
One partition means one operating system on your computer (hard drive).
Two partition means you can add a second operating system to your computer.
Each partition may not have an operating system on it.
But partitions is the foundation to each operating system.
Partitions are the houses that the operating systems live in.
I think you can only have one operating system per partition.
There are "Partition Editor" programs that help you manage, edit, add, delete the partitions on your computers.
