We don't know for sure how life started, but look up "RNA World Hypotehsis" for the leading hypothesis. It's not a question for evolution, BTW. Evolution is life changing over time.
The SLoT is irrelevant to the origin of life. Energy can and does make natural systems export entropy.

Anyone see that big ball of burning hydrogen up in the sky?

I've heard evolution defined differently by different evolutionary adherents. Bill nye for instance says it's simply an old English word meaning 'survival of the fittest'

Have you looked it up in a dictionary? It just explains the diversity of life nothing more or less.

, the question is not about evolution or mutation. The question is simply about how life first started. Specifically, the question is about the transition between non-life to life. We should also think about how scientists try turning non-life into life in laboratories over the past century or longer.

Evolution, for the purposes of biology, is defined as a change in allele frequencies over time.
The synthetic theory of evolution is too complex for a trite definition to explain. UC Berkeley has a very good web site with introductory information.

. Have you looked up the RNA Wold hypothesis? Origin of life science? They would be good places to start.
