Obama Goes Ham

    • Marilyn Mitchell we are trying to resist. meanwhile, God wants you to be grateful for the people that He sends to you to help you, God wants you to tell them "thankyou" often!
    • Original Oatmeal I tell everybody thank you too often.
    • Marilyn Mitchell Bui Nguyen Hoang Phuc told me that you didn't always remember to.
    • Original Oatmeal He is wrong. Many people think that I do no not say think you but I really do. People only remeber what they want to remember. People have stuff stuck in their mind that prevents them seeing what is actually happening. I have always been very appreciative and you can always see that in my words, my face, my action. I am always thank you and yet people are always accusing me of not saying thank you. Those accusations are from Satan, the father of all lies and they are so not true. People who really know me know that I am always thankful for everything.

Saying thank you has to be a product and a result of appreciation, first of all. Too often, people try staying politically correct by saying the right things to look normal, but it is more important to have the right attitude and character and integrity deep inside your heart. You have to show people your heart. If you are truly thankful deep inside your soul, then the people who are truly thankful will see that back.

It takes one to know one.

It takes a thankful person to hear the words, "Thank you," truly.

If you are not thankful, then you will not hear it from others, as well.

People who are angry and sad inside do not care if others say thank you to them or not because that will not alter the way they feel. If you feel bad then nothing can change that.

It is the parable of the seeds. The words "Thank you" will sometimes fall onto rocks and deaf ears blind eyes. Sometimes, seed are not water. The plants never blossom and grow and they wither and die.

      It is not my fault.

Happy people never complain about me.

Grumpy people say bad about me, Joey Arnold.

It takes a thankful person to know a thankful person.

The love of Christ dwells in me.

Not saying thank you is as impossible as flying pigs.
    • Marilyn Mitchell I don't know the rules of "thank you" in this culture. you can tell him that I don't know what I did wrong, if you want to.
    • Original Oatmeal The rule of "Thank You" in the Vietnam culture is exactly the same as it is in all other cultures. People always talk about cultural differences but I do not see the differences in the culture between Vietnam and the United States, and all the other countries as well.

Because all cultures root from eternal principles. sure, the exact details of the different cultures are all unique as are the appearances of the different dogs, but all dogs are still all the same, basically, and all cats are still basically the same, and all rats are still basically the same, and all people are basically and fundamentally the same and all cultures are so identical with each other.

All cultures are so identical with each other.

It is crazy that people do not see the similarities with each other.

And I do say thank you to people all of the time.
    • Marilyn Mitchell I do believe that there is a rule which you and I are not aware of yet.
    • Original Oatmeal Real rules are universal and rooted from the Creator. Humanity is lost and cursed. This means that we pervert and twist the rules. I only care about going after what is best in life over mere culture.
    • Marilyn Mitchell I care about being kind to people, Creator treats us each individually, and we should do the same. You grew up well because I didn't expect you to reach the same standards as the other children.
    • Original Oatmeal I treat others kindly. I really do. I am always trying my best to be the best friend I can to every single person I come across.
